Okay all you experts, chime in with your expertise.
I have a car that I am testing and the first few runs have not been to impressive. Where do I start my troubleshooting? Specs:
Wheel base extended COM just under 3/4 MB The Edge 91SGA Super Nails MB The Edge 2009 New Pure Stockr's Body drilled with The Block on Praxxon Drill Press Body at .75oz before weights, axles and wheels Set up as a rail rider with DFW bent by MB with a 4" drift over 8'
The times I am getting are no faster then my none rail rider with BSA axles polished by me on an old drill press with no canted wheels.
The test track is a 32 foot 2 lane Best Track with timer.
I have moved my front bent axle to try and tune it in but I just can't get good speeds.
What could be wrong? HELP!!!

First thing I would want to know is if its running straight down the track or if its wobbling at all. Also, check to make sure your rear wheels are moving out to the axle head when rolling forward and backward.

TXJay, Be careful when making steer adjustments to your fdw. It only takes a small amount of turn on the steer axle to can make a big difference in performance.

Ed I agree with Ed. when i first set up a tuning board, I was amazed at how smal of a turn on the axle you make when adjusting steer. Its really easy to over do it.

Did you shave some off the front DFW side of the body... Say 1/16"

i would also add that 4'' over 8' is probably not enough steer.

No wobble at all. The wheels are staying out on the nail heads both forward and backwards.

One of the problems I have had, time to time (working with a car on this right now) is that one of the rear axles can get bent. The JE axles are awesome, but you have to be careful that they don't get bent when you push them into the axle holes. They can bend in the groove area, and you wouldn't notice it immediately. However, it will kill your time. Traveler I thought about this too. I checked the axles to make sure they didn't get bent by accident but they are VERY straight.

Yep, shaved off exactly 1/16 of an inch.

Try turning 12" in eight feet and then 10", 8", 6" and see if you find a spot.
Do you have an 8 foot tuning board? How are you measuring steer?
Posting a picture of the car would help...

Make sure your wheels are clean. On a Besttrack, the wheels start to get a build up on the tread after about 10 - 20 runs that will slow the car way down. I once picked up .020 seconds after cleaning the wheels.

Did you try coating the tread and the inside part of the wheel that runs the rail with graphite? FDW only, never the rears.
