for the last 4 years my son and I have been racing pinewood derby cars at his annual cub scott pack event. The first two years we won in his division and the last two years we have won the king of the hill by a long shot (record time for the last 2 years). Every year we move on to the district finals with 8 other towns. We have never been competitive here. The big difference is our track is a 30 ft plastic track and the district track is a 44 ft metal track. What do I need to do ?? any ideas ? Here is some info about our cars: we use - 1 gram wheels, rounded axels from nickel, titainium weights and a pre drilled body with axel holes and weight holes. The weight is placed in front and behind the rear wheels and a counter weight in the center of the car.

WHERE IS THE ALIGNMENT AT WHERE IS THE CG IS IT A THREE WHEELER HOW MUCH HORSE POWER IS IN THE CAR (WEIGHT) WHAT IS THE WHEEL BASE... DO YOU WANT TO SPEED THE CAR UP YOUR SELF OR WOULD YOU LIKE IT TUNED UP... THERE ARE ALLOT OF VARIABLES IN A CAR AND HOW IT IS SET UP, WITH OUT LOOKING AT THE CAR IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO TELL YOU WHAT IS NEEDED TO SPEED THE CAR UP...
