gentlemen,
our local pack has just purchased a new 48' piantedosi alum track with remote start , tree, and smart line timer.
they are leaning on me to help with any tricks of the trade to assist in a good set up as they have not set it up complete yet and the race is Feb 9.
do you have any tips that can help
is it similar to the best track set up ?
Glenn any advice from the jewkes camp would be appreciated

We just purchased a smartline timer. The only problem I ran into when setting it up a few nights ago was that my computer did not have a 9-pin RS232 connection. I went to Radio Shack and bought a USB convertor. Everyone has a USB port. The connvertor was $40 at Radio Shack. You can get one for less on ebay or from Randy at Grand Prix Race Management - his website. $25 plus about $5 for shipping.

I have not set one of these up but would have to guess it would be really close to a best track in set up... I would set it up the same way...
I will go look at the web site and see how they look...
