Hey Guys,
Just wondering how often I should re-lube when using Hob E Lube? We had a test and tune last Sat. and have our Awana Regional this Sat. I ran 12-18 runs without re-lubing and got faster and more consistent at the end. I mainly worked on alignment. Should I load up on the graphite or leave it alone? I don't have a test track, but could run it down my 8' alignment board several times.

I'd like to know the answer to that one as well. We've got our District race coming up this Saturday. Should we relube right before the race, or relube and then "break" it in some first? Thanks.

Hi, welcome to the board. If you check in the Wheel and Axle help section, you will find that there is no standard answer to this question. Some racers re-lube after 6-8 runs, and some get up to 16-18 runs before re-lubing. It has a lot to do with your wheel and axle prep. If you have a bunch of cars in the District race, I would probably lube before the race and run the car once to cast-off the loose graphite/Molly. You will probably get varying opinions on this issue. David

Thanks guys for the help. I did check the other post under wheels and axles. it was somewhat beneficial. You were right about the varied opinions. Glen said he re-lubes after 12-18 runs, so it looks like that would be a good rule of thumb. I think I'll re-lube and run my car down my alignment board a couple times and call it good. Good luck Crabbycat at your Districts on Sat. Let us know how it goes.

Glad you like it. LOL. I wanted to come up with an avatar that would equal some of y'all's, but I couldn't come up with anything. My son just happened to be watching Pimp my Ride on MTV... and viola! My avatar was born!
Sorry about the Coca Cola thing. Ever have corn come out your nose? Not fun (but that's another story) tee-hee.

Tastes better not through the nose. My step-son can pull ramen noodles up through his nose and have it hanging out his mouth and nostril at the same time. Kinda nasty but it still makes me laugh. ;D

He is a teenager, they are naturally offensive at times after all. Always looking for ways to annoy mom and me.
