The pro body jig, is a good entry to moderate level scout builder tool. But the soft metal does create a issue over time.
I like the tool and the kids have done well with it for doing the scout cars at the workshops I have put on over the years.
Currently my favorite tool is the adjustable angle block, used by machinists and metal and wood workers.
Jewkes have a good tool also, the block. Several tools work, some better than others and some become a builder's choice.

Thanks sporty, thank you for saying we have a good tool... but over here we are not cuby land entry level... the probody tool is not going to win you very many cub races anymore... more and more father son teams are investing in "The Block" ... and are blowing out the cub races...
when will we be seeing your cars again. at PDDR... looks like you are one of the fastest at pwdr... you need to come over to PDDR and show these boys what pinewood derby is all about...
LOL, I do not think I can show you guys much of anything. You guys are faster than me. I have no dillusions of granjor.
but thanks for the kind words, placing 3rd place at blue grass was a shock and a awe in limited class 4 me.
It's been a hard year, of learning and many hours in trying to go faster at the adult league level.
my house looks like a pinewood derby workshop factory.
living room, cars, weights, plastics, different lubes.
kitchen, table, kitchen counter top and even on top of the microwave. more of the same type of stuff.
then you go down stairs to the basement, more and more stuff, 4 tables and the floor with tons of stuff.
then a lathe showed up here the other day and I'm wanting a mini mill. which I may have one in the near future.
Fastenal and other companies, see me, ordering and picking stuff up and I still have not gotten to where I would like to be yet.
I'm looking to retire, before I loose my family. but might toss a car here and there.
i'm just glad what I have done, no tuner track, on the kitchen floor.
While I am no way close to being top 10 speed demon. I am glad I was able to do some things, that I did not think I could do with no test track.
