hey guys,
just made a deal with the local Awana group, 100+ kids. i am adding a Awana class to the CFC race this Feb. I have never even seen an Awana car, are there any special things i need to know about?
from what i understand the rules are pretty standard but the wheels are different.
the lady was very excited about the whole thing, i think it was something they always wanted to do but never had anyone with a track or anything. i told them i would put a workshop together and help out with pretty much everything. lots of work, but with that many kids there are bound to be a few dads willing to help and if we are lucky maybe i can get a few to check out the league racing .
it will also make live attendance at the CFC a blockbuster! ;D

You bet! They are much softer and their bores are shorter...

thanks again W you must have run these before.
are those wheels fairly uniform as far as quality goes? i am not going to try to make 100 sets of race prep wheels, but just looking for a heads up to any potential problems i might run into. thanks again. bri

We can make 1.2 gram wheels with them and keep the stock appearance. they are very hard to work with and take alot of time to work on... the axles form awana are much better than the BSA axles. they are about .91 to start with... the heads need some work and they need a good polishing... other than that you would build the car the same as you would a BSA car... Thanks, glad to here that the axles are fairly good, i really harp on parents about the BSA axles as i feel they are the worst part of the official kit.
