Has anyone tried a heat gun for making the paint dry faster for their cars? The low end runs about $25. Didn't know if there were any drawbacks (gun is too hot and could damage the wood, catch the wood on fire, etc.).

when i did flapjack i did everything you not supposed to do, 3 heavy coats with about 5 minutes between them, no sanding and then a freakishly heavy coat of krylon tripple thick glaze, then another thick coat of glaze. 2 days later it looked perfect. probably luck, but still, sometimes heavy will work, Attachments:

pure rattle can, funny thing is i actually have a airbrush, it was a door prize, i have never even hooked it up. here is a pic of the paint, its krylon X-metal. i love the stuff!
