got some track time tonight, and even managed to fit the whole track in the house, had to set up the start line out on the porch.....anyhow, results are mixed so far and more track time tomorrow. my problem is getting a straight run. i have never tuned a car with a 3/8" com. all prior cars were around 3/4".lots of the running back and forth ;D on the runs that were squirrel free it was really fast, but i could not get it consistently stable. i dont want to give to much turn to it as that scrubs the speed. guess i just need another day or so to pinpoint the sweet spot. my figures are hard to go by, as even with the same track i dont have the same timer and start gate as the league does.but one way or another after thursday i aint messen with them as i will only make them worse. and they ship on friday. bri

DNA, you'll get it tuned just right, but with that said when you do more testing tomorrow and you seem to hit a stable plateau just stop there and stick with that as the final tune till after the august race. I have found that with anything that I know I can tune for more speed, there are always plateaus of performance where no incremental changes will help any before the next jump in performance.
Of course as I'm sure you're already aware of, the race will be the true test of your tuning efforts and how much room there actually is left to improve.
I believe your cars will do great. Keep up the good work.

Man think of it this way getting all that exercise walking back and forth---GOOD. ;D Also all that tunning is frustrating but you are learning things and it will make you better. One day you will have your car dialed in and it will be all worth it. Small tip for the wiggles: How loose are your rear wheels?

the rear wheels are not too loose, i thought about moving them just a touch, but the axles are so tight in the mahogany i am scared to even try adjusting them.

Well DNA....I'm right there with you. Last night I tried a few things different when I prepped my wheel bores and I was turning some fast times with my current pure stocker. I had it running .0007 better than when it arrived from the July race. I was on top of the world yesterday when I was finished. Like an idiot I cleaned my wheel bores today to see if I could re-creat what I had did the night before. This time I was going to test my new PS'r and current pure stoker with the new process. Both cars were dogs tonight. Tried each car with multiple combinations of different axles and wheels. They were not even Sub 3.0 . I have 4 days to figure it out before I ship my cars.
