hey all, this was a last second car.at one time it was a Modified car named Chimera, i decided it need a new future, new axle holes were drilled and some fresh paint was added. now its a stock named rerun. i am not sure where i got the wheels, i think from Derby Dominator. they are ultra lights. the axles are Jewkes 91SGA's. i have been having issues with my com lately....cant seem to get it over 1/2". bri

when i started with this car, it was 5.0oz exactly. after i drilled out new axle holes and added the paint, wheels and axles it was at 5.2oz!!! as you can see, there aint much wood left to shave from. ended up almost hollowing out the bottom witch moved the com even further back i guess it was going from mod wheels to the ultra lights.

Where at on the car did you hollow out part of the bottom? You could possibly remove some material from the front and fill with a bit of tungsten putty to bring your com back forward a bit, till its back to where you want it.
That's just a quick offhand thought on what might work, that I can thinlk of. Share a picture or two of the bottom of your car so we can get an idea of what's going on.

the car is in Utah waiting on the race this sat. the biggest problem is the cutout in the side. it left very little wood thick enough to hold weight. another issue i had is i epoxyed all the weight in. getting any weight out to be able to add some putty to the front aint gonna happen. but thanks for the sugjestion. bri
