Just order up the block and ___'s video. I have 9 sugar pine blocks sitting ready to drill and form. My question is: When cutting the pocket for the 1/4 cube weights is a router the way to go? For cutting consistant pockets what kind of bit and template are you using?
Hope to have a pure stock and stock car ready for August.

After struggling with my weight pockets on my last build, mwdpwracing sent me a link to this video;
I just made one of these for my dremel....works like a charm. I can't thank him enought for turning me on to the above video. I'm sure there are other options, maybe some more builders will chime in with their ideas.

Thanks for the link. For your dremel did you use the router attachment?

I had a few request to show my jig for routing weight pockets. Here are a couple of photos showing the jig I made for my dremel and for a fixed full size router. My dad is retired and he is always looking for a project so he he made the table that my jigs fit inside: Router Mount Router Jig In Table Router Jig In Table (2) Dremel Jig Dremel Mount

Dremel and Router both use a 1/4 bit, so I have the corners to tend too as well. I've been re-setting my fence and doing a straight line to route out the corners. Although drilling a 3/16 hole does seem a lot easier. Thanks for the tip Ole' Pal .

great vids, myself, i just chuck up a 1/4" endmill in my drill press and move the body by hand to route them out.
