hey all,
last night i got a call from a guy that said he say me in a newspaper artical about the CabinfeverClassic, he was moving and had a ton of old trophy's from the early 60's he wanted to give me. I was thinking cool! we talked for a half hour and he brought the trophy's over this morning. 30+ trophys, he was a pro go-cart racer back then and almost all of them are wooden with real metal tops! most have dates written on the bottom too. some from Oct, 1961 :oi just figured i would buy new Pinewood related tops for them, and give them away at the scouter nats to the kids. but now i almost feel guilty for taking them. the difference between old and new trophy's is jaw dropping!
i will put up a few pics in a little while.

This is quiet a collection of old Trophies. A wide range of shapes, sizes, and wood.

thanks, there are a very few that are EARLY "plastic" i think its actually bakelite. most of them will be rebadged and given to the kids, but a few will be used for the Adult races. Talk about a unique trophy.
