I'm trying to ease my way into the future and make a transition to oil. Can you clean wheels that have been used with graphite good enough to make a transition to Oil. Also how about the axles? Just give them a lite sanding back to 50,000 and re-prep? Any advice would be helpful.

You can but to be perfectly honest I have never seen it done and they run as good as just starting with new wheels and axels. I might try the axels but wheels no.

Cleaned my old graphite PS'rs with 91% alcohol and some mineral spirits with a pipe cleaner and tooth brush. They cleaned up nicely and seem to be working great running oil. Nothing is better than new wheels, I'm going to spring for some Jewkes PS's for the July race.
