So in order to compete in the turtle race, do I have to start with an official BSA kit, or can I just use whatever I want as long as it meets the dimension restrictions? Do I have to start with a pine block, or can I substitute other material? What is up with the "no metal" restriction? Does that mean no weights? Curious minds want to know... and boy is my mind a curious place.

actually my big idea doesn't seem to work, so now I'm scrambling. I don't know if I'll be fielding a turtle car or not. I have an Awana ehibition race locally on the 1st that I am responsible for so it's cutting into my development time.
