I know alot of people say that with a well built car there is no difference.
My fastest cars have extended wheel bases.

I use to think that extended wheelbase was faster, but now I don't think there is much difference. I do think that it is easier to get the alignment right on an extended wheelbase car.

THINK ABOUT THIS GUYS...................IT'S ALL ABOUT MAXIMIZING THE FORCE OF GRAVITY & BUILDING UP AS MUCH POTENTIAL ENERGY AS POSSIBLE ON THE HILL BEFORE YOU HIT THE TRANSFER ZONE. YOUR CAR WILL SLOW DOWN ON THE FLAT. THE CAR THAT HOLDS IT'S SPEED BETTER ON THE FLAT USUALLY WINS. - MULTIPLE FACTORS DETERMINE WHAT YOUR CAR DOES ON THE FLAT TRACK
- IT IS TRUE THAT A LONG-WHEELBASE CAR IS EASIER TO ALIGN AND USUALLY HAS AN ADVANTAGE WHEN COMPETING WITH A HIGH PERCENTAGE OF AVERAGE CARS
- HOWEVER, WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A STANDARD WHEELBASE CAR IS PROPERLY ALIGNED / SET-UP?
- HERE IS THE KICKER..........WHICH SET-UP HITS THE TRANSFER ZONE FIRST? WHICH CAR FALLS FARTHER BEFORE STARTING TO LOSE PE?

Well, even though physics says a standard wheelbase car should be faster than a long wheelbase car..........Railhugger has disproved this theory.
.........thanks a lot Tim! ;D ;D ;D
