I have only raced in bsa pwd. I want to race in pddr this year and I'm just starting out so I don't want to get too crazy just yet. Based on my experience I'm sure that will come later. What would be best for a starter: Block, Pure Stock or stock?
Also, do most of the builders build a new car for each race or switch wheels and axles around on another body, how do most of the builders work that out?

I would recommend starting in Pure Stock first. For each class you race in, you would want to use separate wheels and axles for that car. Switching back and forth would make it impossible to get your car tuned very well, and also, each class uses different wheel configurations. (stock wheels, lightened wheels, disc wheels, etc)
There is not a "block" class. The Block is a tool which is useful in getting your axle holes drilled in the wood perfectly aligned. (available from Jewkes or MB)
