For the rear it works perfect. Please share how you get the proper cant for the front DOM. There are basically 2 things you can do: Put the pin that comes with the block in the other channel, that will cant the front wheel in the opposite direction of the rears, or drill straight and just bend the axle. But either way, you will want the front axle bent so you can steer the car by turning the axle. Its really very simple, but if you have a hard time picturing it, just try it and it will become very clear. Bottom line, The Block gives you many of options on how to setup your car, experiment a little and find what works best for you. Thanks, I will practice on some blocks tomorrow.

If you drill your front axle straight, you bend the axle to achieve pos cant and steer into the rail. Getting the proper bend for optimum cant and steer requires bending then rotating the axle a few times. If you drill your dom hole with pos cant around 1.5 with the proper size pin in the opposite slot you only need to bend your axle for and aft with less rotating. As far as drilling for cant and steer, if you managed to do this you would still need to bend your axle a little either way to fine tune it. Ive read a little about adjustable steer with set screws ect. However I get the feeling its more trouble than its worth. If you prep your axle for bending properly there shouldnt be any issues. This is how I understand it anyway.

So after all this talk, is it standard to drill the dfw hole straight and bend the axle, +cant and bend the axle, or + cant -toe(and bend the axle less)? You could easily get +cant and -toe by using the supplied pin on the "block" and a shim of some sort under the front of the "block". How far you go with your - toe would be the dilema. But seriously you could achieve steering without bending anything, you would just be stuck without adjustment.

One National Champion is on record of canting a smaller angle and bending...

___ showed me that if you cut a groove in the head of the steering axel and with the slight bend you can adjust and fine tune with a small screwdriver and achieve even smaller adjustments to find that sweet spot with a lot less hassel.
