I have both of these lovely gems in my home, waiting for me to finish the car they are to go on. One question about their usage together. The needle axles have about an 1/8" extra room when the XS2's are mounted on them ( edge of the hub/wheel to the plastic cap). Normally I would just push an axle in farther to get the desired spacing. What do you do with these. I know I need to make use of the machined side of the axle. Just leave that room? Trim the axle to desired length?

one more thing, The tip of the needle needs to be showing it self when the cap is on all the way...

Thanks. That makes way too much sense. Which is why I didn't think of it. My son is drooling (so am I) since they are for his open car for districts - then I get them.

One other question.
Is there a particular way to orientate them on the car? Completely ground side towards the car? Otherway?
Thanks

Actually I am talking about the wheels themselves. They are tapered. One side appears to be completely flat.
Which side is the one to run towards the rail?
I would imagine it's the angle side for less friction, but I just want to make sure.
As for the graphiing, I got the bushings preinstalled. I'll manage to get graphite in there. Me and a nice little straw. I have time, just have to pick when I have patience.
