Hi guys:
I am planning on building a car that has a movable tungsten weight. I want to do this because in my son's district the tracks vary greatly from our home track which is wooden and very old to a 42' Best Track. I want to be able to move the COM depeding on the track.
First, I would like to know if this is a good idea and if so does anyone have a low profile car design that incorpates this element in the design?
Thanks as always in advance.

We run multiple tracks also and a 5/8 com has worked very well for us with no stability issues. Usually after a pack race the cars are impounded for district. The only work allowed before impound is a repair and lube. However yours might be different.

I know Glenn had some design he was selling that had the moveable tungsten weight system in it in a few body styles. John (MB4Hire.com) should sell them as well. That is a great idea.

If you adjust your com do have to adjust your steer as well? I tink you would; more steer into the rail for more agressive com.

you are correct, if you don't have it, I don't need it. I see this as best for cars that are competing on different track surfaces. Which is great for all scouts!
