Well, I just threw together 2 new cars for the 2010 PDDR season. I am trying my hand at the Super Mod needle class and I made another bearing car. Both cars are running on Holeshots, the needle car is using Jewkes 30SNA needle axles and bushing kit. The bearing car is running on Holeshots that I machined for bearings. I machined my own axles to get them Holeshots spinning smooth! I am heading out to test them both *** TODAY ***. I will see if my bearing car is close to being as fast as Sinister. I have no clue what the needle car will do. The more I mess with needles, the more confused I end up Well thanks for looking and please feel free to comment good or bad. Ian This is my new needle "Scarlet King" And my Super Pro Mod "Diablo"

If the straight XS2's compared to standard razors are any indicator, that new bearing car should fly!!!
Great looking cars.

Thanks for the comments guys. I tested yesterday, mainly the needle car, but the few runs I had on Diablo, it was faster than Sinister when the bearings did not come loose. I usually use a retainer but forgot them so I just made 1 run with the dual bearings and it was faster. I tried a few runs with single bearings but was not working out. I will put some more time in on the bearing car before next months race. I am hoping we get more bearing cars this time The needle car ran consistent but I think it is consistently slow. If the times convert like my bearing car did, I should be around the 2.86 range. Well, thanks again for the comments all and hope to see you all on the 13th Ian

ljo,
As David(PDDR) already stated, your best choice is to run over at the PDDR. They run every class you can think of and they do it better than any other league out there. The best racers in the world race right here at PDDR. I live up near Rockford. If you have any specific questions about league racing, just PM me or post on the forum and these guys will help you out. Do not feel like anything you need to know can not be asked. We have a great time over here and we are all still learning. Hope to see you out here with us soon.

So do you ship your cars out there, or do you attend? I wouldn't be able to make the trip.

ljo,
I ship mine out. Make sure and watch the shipping video on this forum to get some ideas. Shipping seems to be the #1 problem with this hobby. You can spend lots of time on your little pine block just to have it demolished in shipping. If done properly, you should have no problems ;D Welcome aboard and let us know if you have any more questions.
