OK, so we moved to a new pack, same district. Our new pack runs a 35ft best track, district runs a 50'+ challenger. How would you set up your car to run on both? We have almost 2months between races to make adjustments.
Thanks!

We have almost 2months between races to make adjustments. Thanks! 35 foot track you can get away with a PDDR config. COM 5/8-3/4 If you can tune on the track the steer would be a tad less for a shorter track than PDDR 42 footer. For the longer track COM more forward better 7/8-1" and less steer is needed. weight needs to be concentrated so dont change COM by spreading the weight out. make it so the weight can all move some how...

Thanks W. I have tungsten round, and ordered tungsten cubes, hopefully they will get here in time. If I use the round I can just drill several round holes and move the weight around, with the cubes, it may be even easier. I don't have a way to test the car before the Derby, but as long as it's close, I'm not worried about it, they are not known for being a very competitive pack, whereas the one I came from was competitive because of us, so...I will go full bore for the pack race and readjust for district I guess.

Super stockers would be best for short track
if allowed
For the long track the stockers at 1.7 grams might be better
I would go with cubes
remove the back most row and add them to the front

We have to use full weight wheels for both, unfortunately. We drilled weight holes, one between the rear axles which are pushed back, and one in front of that. We have the tungsten, but thinking of lead instead, as we are having issues shaving enough weight off the body. I think we can get more off of it, at least I will give it the old college try. Now I am trying to cut my own fenders and man is it a pain...

our rules said the scout earned the right to go to district not the car when we were in cubs; so one could race 2 different cars one for pack & one for district

A second car is an option, just figured I would look at what it would take to do a changable. That may be the way we have to go
