I've worked on a couple with less than stellar results.

I'd be interested in seeing the video. My fenders don't look all that good at all. I went to Michaels and bought 2-3 foot pieces of balsa that were about a half inch square. I glued 4 of them together to create a larger piece of balsa. I outlined a wheel on the balsa, cut that part out using a drill bit, and just created the desired shape of the fender with an exacto knife and a palm sander. They look okay, but I could sure stand to see a video of someone else's process - there has to be a better way!

I was interested in trying out some fenders as well. Maybe for the April Pure Stock race. Does Spacewalker have the video where he can post it or have you finished your ECD cars yet? I have hav no idea where to start... No fenders on my ECD cars for this month...

These fenders were machined right into the wood that was added to either side of the original block. Also allows for rebating of the wheel well around the axle hole for internal clearance and reversing the wheels.

That looks awesome! How does it perform? These fenders were machined right into the wood that was added to either side of the original block. Also allows for rebating of the wheel well around the axle hole for internal clearance and reversing the wheels.

It has a bit of interference where the fenders can sometimes touch the rails. Friction is NOT our friend. I use it as a Cubmaster car...looks really cool and fast but almost everyone can beat it and get a win under their belt.

I made a set for a car and chickened out at the last minute and ripped them off. (Was harder to get off than I expected ...) The first one wasn't so great too. Balsa with 1/64 ply inside the wells. That CA glue can get outa control real quick! Anyone know what I'm talkin' about?! The 2nd set I made I used a forstner bit to make the holes and then shaped them on the BS. After that I split it in 2 on the TS to get 2 identical full fenders. They were nice and I'll try it again, hopefully with better results
