Hello, First great forum. I've learned a lot just reading thru all of the different post. This is my son's second year with the scouts and this year the Pak has decided to have an open class. There really aren't many rules other then the car must weigh under 10oz (yup, 10oz...). They have also said that any car deemed unsafe will not be allowed to run (Trying to keep the spectator implements to a minimum...). I'm sure there will be a few that try running a CO2 or rocket car, but I'm going to go with a streamlined body with the thin wheels and try to tune the car using some of the tips I've learned from this forum. But my question is with the weight. When does to much weight become an issue? Would I get the same results if I used 8oz or should I go for the full 10oz?
Thanks for the help.
