Just wanted to say thank you for the block! This year I had 2 sons race in awana's with the youngest as his first race. We used the block for the first time this year along with other procedures for speed (hint: axles and wheel preparations), and the results were amazing. The past 2 years my oldest son raced, we didn't get any better than 3.1 on a 32ft Best track. However, the results speak for themselves: Car #1 (races 1-4) Times: (1) 2.6284, (2) 2.6451, (3) 2.6200, (4) 2.6426 Car #2 (races 1-4) Times: (1) 2.5650, (2) 2.5857, (3) 2.5551, (4) 2.6200 Both boys and cars took 1st for Speed (as well as 1st for Design), this year!!!! We had 2 Awana boy's on cloud nine! With cub scout races coming in 3 months, I look forward to seeing what the results will be and how far we can go. Again, thank's again. I am a firm believer and to all the people who "shed some light" on the build process, many thanks! Now, that my wife thinks I need to be committed and stop buy tools to build, I am thinking I need to enter a PDDR race in the upcoming months!!! Good idea and look forward to a whole new level of building and competition! Thanks again JE Crew! Pic's of my 2 sons cars:

Congrats on the cars and wins! Nobody understands that a 49 year old guy can enjoy building Derby cars. I'm not embarrassed in telling what friends I have. They don't understand. I'm glad there's a place for me to race.
