Two questions, First how much clear (HOK UC 35) should I mix to do 3 coats? Second How long can I wait between base coat and clear coat? I am fighting with the weather so I want to make sure I have the timing right if there is an issue with it. Thanks

I am fighting with the weather so I want to make sure I have the timing right if there is an issue with it. Thanks I dont like to let my base coat dry more than 12 hours.... base coats dry very fast allowing you to put the paints on quickly. Then wait about 30-45 minutes for the clear coats... UC 35 Clear is 2-1-1 mix One derby car I would mix 2 oz clear 1oz hardner 1 oz reducer 4 oz total mixed and you should be able to but 3 good coats on the car... plenty for a smooth job. Always follow the instructions on the paint can labels... if not many instructions then go to the links I posted above and click on the product tech sheet for full instructions. ;D Yes it requires a little reading.

Thanks for the video link Kirby and thats for the info David. I was thinking 3 oz but I will go with the 4 oz. The instructions don't call for reducer but I was going to use it alway. ;D
