Hey Pros Quick question guys, I have the block and I'm setting up with canted in the back, left front raised, and front right straight in with a bent axle to steer. First off is this the best setup? Please if you could give me the measurements I need to mark the wood up from the bottom to drill the holes.
1. BACK CANTED = (DOES THE BACK NEED TO BE HIGHER TO ALLOW FOR ANGLE?)
2. FRONT LEFT RAISED = 3. FRONT RIGHT =
Thanks Kirby

Anyways my PureStocker CoalCar uses it... pddr.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=2404&page=1You can raise the raised wheel 1/16th over the DFW hole...

The last couple I have drilled have been
3/16" on the rear 1/8" on the fdw 3/16" on the raised wheel.

Let me get this right. both back canted wheels measure 3/16 then drill down to get a negative cant (top of wheel will lean in towards the car). raised wheel drill straight 3/16 from the bottom. the right front or the fdw measure up an 1/8th and drill upwards to get a positive cant (bottom of wheel in towards the car) then also bend the axle for steering. I'm not sure why I'm having a hard time understanding this.
thanks kirby
PS Is this the correct setup we are racing on a wood track that i would say is in decent shape?

Whats a good competitive amount of clearance that should clear the transition curve of any track my team runs on?
Whats the minimum amount of clearance that will clear the PDDR track?

I usually have 3/8" ground clearance on my cars. That is pretty safe for most tracks.

If your right front wheel is drilled straight and you are turning your axle for steering purposes how do you end up with a positive cant? thanks kirby

I realize this and I think the block is AWESOME. But if I don't have measurements I'll be sure to screw something up, thats why i'm coming to the pros to find out what works for you and if it works for you then it will work for me.

You can try this for a start. measure 3/16" up from the bottom of the car for the rears and the front dom axle holes and mark them. For the non dom side mark it slightly heigher. Drill the rears canted and the fronts straight. Now to steer the car you take bend axle with the bend pointed down and slightly toward the front of the car, That will give the front axle a pos. cant with some steer the the rail.
