Does anyone have any experience how or if high humidity would impact a ps running on oil? I ran my ps yesterday and left it in shop with clean rag over it. It's raining here *** *** TODAY *** *** and I decided to go to shop to work on cars. I picked ps up and made a few runs...car was slower. Again, NO other changes except weather and humidity.

Your oil is probably attacking your wheels. Even some 100% syn oil can melt your wheels. It happened to me. If you wipe your axle and get any wheel color on your rag then your wheels are shot.

You are most likely experiencing evaporation of the oil. Krytox has an evaporation rate of 11% every so many hours. What the rate is I can't remember. I myself will always add a drop or two to a car before I do any testing. I will do that regardless if I lubed the car earlier in the day, if I lubed it the day before or if it was last week. Just put you in a drop or so, spin the wheels and blow them out. You will be good to go for quit awhile. As for the humidity, I myself haven't seen any negative impact on the oil.

thanks ACME and Carolina.
ACME, I'm using Krytox....I should have provided which oil. Can you provide more on which oil(s) destroyed your wheels. It would keep me from doing the same thing as I'm beginning to experiment with oils. thanks

I don't think you can get better than Krytox 100.

I don't think you can get better than Krytox 100. There is a better oil out, but we will have to interrogate Carolina and LA at gun point to find out what is is. ;D

That may be true. But even with dry lube the 95's are achievable. I'm not even there yet. So until I get consistently in the 96's I don't think oil will speed me up too much. I can't take a 2.98 car and lube it with oil and run 2.95's That doesn't stop me from trying though!
