Yesterday I got a 1/8" x 12" long hss drill bit to use across the length of The Block. The bit was noticable smaller than my included pin. Using digital calipers my included pin measures 0.16" (closest to 4mm) and not 0.125" (1/8"). What are the side effects of using a larger pin?

The pin I got with the BLOCK is .125 inch. So the 1/8 long drill bit should work. Maybe Jewkes supplier got the pins wrong?

I bought a stock piece of round bar 1/8" in diameter from my local hobby shop. I cut it the same length as the block, that is what I currently use for my sheme. I also bought a piece of 3/16" round bar but I have not tried it to see if that degree cant would be faster. Until I get a track and timer there's only so much you can do to test different car designs.

My bad, I mistook the pin that comes with the Proxxon bench drill press for the Block pin. I found the Block pin and it measures 0.125". And now I lost the drill press pin. ;D

It is fortunate that you switched them around. ;D
