At a local race the last two times we raced 1st and second place was won by my boys. This is the same race where they said each boy could race 3 car each in different classes. After the first run the officials asked us if we could pull 4 cars from the race to "make it fair" to the others. I had the rules in my pocket then and said everyone working from the rules had the same chance. But we did pull 4 cars. This is the race where every time our cars ran parents would yell "those cars are illegal" Heck I thought there might be a fight! I can't run as fast as I used to! So now at this race they said they changed the rules to make the race more fair. I'm posting the rules to see how much drool you all will have after reading them. The funniest thing about the whole thing is you all whip me racing! Here is the new and improved rules to keep us out of the race............................ By the way this is copied and pasted just the way it's posted.
*The overall length of the car shall not exceed 7 inches.
*The overall width of the car shall not exceed 2 ¾ inches.
*The car must have 1 ¾ inches clearance underneath the body so it does not rub on the track.
*The car weight shall not exceed 5.0 ounces.
*The official race scale that is used at the car check-in shall be considered final.
*No starting devices. The car must be freewheeling.

Man if you show up with a super modified you may need security to leave the building.

What about an inducted fan powered car. There is no rule against that! But then they would shoot me. That would hurt. The race is only for a $30 gift card and the entry fee is $25 Right now they are rewriting the rules again. I guess I'll have to wait and see?

You may need to tone it down a bit. We had to just to keep people from talking smack. We still win but its only by a few car lengths and not half the track. We go by the rules in the box but if we did all that we could we would be asking for trouble.

What I was running was stock BSA wheels that I made into razor wheels. I was running big axles. The people griping had cars right behind us with 1 gram BSA looking wheels. We beat them by a car length. They just said to me on the phone that the rules will stand the way they are. I'll take my super mod that got WHIPPED here. Just in case I see another one! It should be fast enough after some adjustments to win? LOL - I've said that before!!!
