I just completed some modifications to my sons Derby Car from this years pack race. I'm getting ready to send it off to the "Big Show" for the May 9th Stock Race: Before the modifications 3 Wheels touching (Non Rail Rider) no cants Stock Axles and Wheels from BSA Kit 6 pass average 42' Best Track (3.1703) Fastest Run (3.1650) After the modifications 3 Wheels touching (Rail Rider) Positive Cant FDW Rear Right Wheel Slight Negative Cant Car Name "Redeaux" (That's "Redo" If Your Not From Louisiana ) My goal for this car is to run in the low 3's. This is my first rail rider so I'm hoping it is set up right. It turns about 2" over 6'. This new set up is R&D for future builds. I should have it in the mail by the end of the week.

Well the results are in! My fastest run on the PDDR track was about 3.0170, a nice improvement from a 3 wheel straight runner. No run slower than 3.030....not PDDR fast but an improvement. For my next "Redeaux" stock race I'm going to change the COM and add new tires and axles and record the results. I'll post some detailed photos of the COM changes once they are completed. I hope this thread will help some of the new guys, like myself, and lurkers who want to try rail riding.
