I'm in the market for a 10" to 12" drill press. I stopped by Home Depot and Lowes *** TODAY *** looking for some dremel tool attachments. I checked out the Ryobi and Skil brand drill presses at each location. Reviews are all over the place on each brand. I just need to drill some straight holes , what other brands or models should I check out? What do you use?

Sense I'm not going to the blue grass race I got some money to get one of them there proxxons. do I really need that fancy x y table or can I get by without it. I got the block but my drill press is junk and I'm tiered of the hours and hours it takes to tune a car. Is the x y table a must have?

The x-y table is a nice thing to have but the Proxxon works well without it. I don't normally use the x-y table when I drill my axle holes.

My drill press is very cheap and the run out is just nasty. I think I gave 30 bucks for it at a tool sale. It is a long way from a craftsman.
