About to start a Door Slammer build for the May race. Got a '69 Charger and want to paint it flat black like the charger in the Blade movie.
I have never painted a plastic model before and wanted some advise from the paint ninjas around here.
Should I sand the body and with what?
Should I prime it?
Plan on using a Testors flat black which I believe is Acrylic Enamel. Will it eat the plastic?
Also, what is the best way to attach the body to the chassis?Anyone got some pics of your set up?
Thanks for any advise you can give.

Scott Beakerboys Scott,After ruining several plastic bodies,I asked/begged David for help painting. He recommended just sanding off the shine from the plastic body, and applying very light coats of paint and primer.I use one of the Magic Eraser cleaning sponge things to give it a light sanding before primer and paint. It works very well and keeps me from sanding too much.David also recommended the Duplicolor Metalcast paint and ground coat.I have painted a few cars using his advice and they turned out really nice.P.S. Beast was'nt one of them ;DHope this helps.
