I have built alot of car models growing up. I like the idea of a model car being raced.
I have looked at alot of photos of the Door Slammers cars. Just pondering, why do the cars have a wood or something else in front of the car? Is that a rule? Whats the purpose of the wood or thing in front of the car? How would you ship a Slammer Car? I read alot where the other classes of cars have gotten damage. Slammer is mostly plastic, I could just picture the Slammer car broken.
Thanks in advance

A Slammr can be 8" long. Most cars are not that long, so to get the maximum potential energy ou of your car, guys and gals will add an extension out the front to get the weight farther up the track.
So far I have shipped in 3 Slammrs and they have not been damaged yet. You just have to make sure they are good and secure.

I think I sent in 12 or so Slammr's last year (got carried away a little - LOTs of fun) and didn't have any damage on them that I can recall. Only issue I had was a couple times I wrapped the cars in Bubble Wrap without anything between the car and the wrap and the bubbles left an imprint on the paint job. Have since started wrapping them in a polishing cloth or tissue paper between the wrap and car. Welcome aboard, Bubba
