At a local race on a 4 lane 42 ft best track. Fast track timers. We were able to enter 3 cars per boy. Best Nascar, best original design and funniest car. Then they all raced for the fastest car with 3 places and trophies. We had 6 cars there. In the preliminary races all 6 of our cars had the fastest times. The organizer asked us if we would only continue with our two fastest cars the rest of the race. They didn't think it was right that we had the fastest cars. We said sure. The rules were posted and they have ran this race 4 times a year for the past 2 years. They even posted 4 websites on how to make your cars go fast. Those sites also sold speed supplies too. The first time we raced we took 4th and 7th. I didn't gripe about the fast cars. I just studied and learned how to make them go faster. So the second time we raced we entered 2 cars and they tied for 1st! They both ran 2.994. This our 3rd race one car ran 2.847 and the other ran 2.883. My sons took 1st and 2nd. Plus won the most funny and best Nascar! There were about 6 other cars that were fast too. There was 36 cars I believe. But the things I have learned here just by reading and experimenting has taken us to a new level. Not the pro level yet. But we're trying. I just wanted to toot our wooden horns!
PS: I hope we don't get banned from that race? We could hear other parents griping about our cars to the officials. That made us feel uneasy. Some were very angry. I felt bad too the first time we raced there. But that's racing..............................

First and second place showdown race with times shown. These cars are what I call BT cars. "Before Tungsten" These two cars were built a year ago. I used what I have learned on the boards to speed them up. The second picture shows all the cars that raced. Every car ran sub 3 seconds on the 42 ft Best track. The slowest cars were the Nascars at around 2.992 The dog car is one my wife carved out a year ago. Now speeded up with the razor wheels I made. It won the adult race at 2.910 I looked at my videos and the lighting was bad. But I'll try to get one on youtube soon.   |

Except for the Nascars the others are old cars with new tricks. I have 2 new cars built for speed from the ground up. I'm using two methods of 3 wheel rail riders with the cars steered strait. I like trying new things.
