OK my daughters Awana racer was disqualified because we jumped the track during a heat. It was my fault because I had placed the weight too far back sending the car into a fishtail/high speed wobble and when it hit the seam of the old wooden track it popped a wheelie and jumped track. The weight has been moved and we would like to see what it would really do.
So to the questions.
1. What do we get to see of our car? The race on you-tube or this web site. Is it live or canned?
2. Do we get a printout of our times?
3. It is not the average kid type car but not nearly anywhere near a adult league racer. Without stiff competition and feedback our cars will not get faster or our paint finish get slicker. What feedback if any will be given?
4. For future reference I did have a question on magnets. I also fly small r/c airplanes and have used magnets to hold access hatches and even wings on so as to gain access to the internals and weight placement adjustments. If magnets were to be used to hold the rear bumper on to gain access to weights or fenders on a classic style fender skirt design, not to interfere with other racers or gain an advantage. Would that be a rule change consideration in the future? (These magnets are very strong NE type magnets and hold up to vibration and shock very well. )
5. So what I gather is that the Toob is the preferred method of shipping cars and is shipped inside a box with return shipping label. Does the toob hold big cars also or just the small wedges?
Thanks for the forum and the time. I look forward to racing with everyone and the bouncing of ideas.
