Man that scoop is gonna catch a lot of air!!! ;D I did not know the tungsten/lead engines in these things required so much air to run properly...!!! You might want to glue a much larger one on there so you can go FASTER!!!

Ahhh, you are wise my friend, but this is all part of the master plan. When I run it in the Slammr' class I will remove the rear window, allowing air to pass through freely and cool the lead based engine in the process. Then I figure I can put the rear window back in, thus trapping the air inside and acting much like a parachute, and run it in the Turtle race. That way I can save money and have 1 car running 2 classes !

Looks great! I don't think you need pointers on how to paint.

That looks FANTASTIC. Let's see it when the wheels go on. I've started tinkering around just a little on mine, just trying to get it ready to paint.

Man, these chassis are a lot more difficult to build and attach than I thought they would be. I watched the Jewkes video and figured I'd whip one out in no time. Not the case. I got the body all kockeyed, then I got it higher on one side, then I got the front higher than the back, then my balsa blocks split, etc., etc. Is it better to do adjustable screws on the side? or velcro blocks under the hood and trunk. I think I'm leaning that way now, after the frustrations I'm having with the screws. Any tips, advice, pictures, or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I have been working on the Charger for a week now and I'm going to use the Velcro idea. I seen it in another post on here and it looked a lot simpler then using screws. This will be my first car sent in to PDDR. Setting a very low goal for my first car. Just want it to make it down the track and have at least a 3.1 time.

Yep. This will be my first entry as well. I'm pretty stoked. I saw the chassis pictures you are talking about, from Carolina Gravity I believe. That was definitley a nice looking set up. If anybody else is willing to share some pictures of their set up, I'd like to see 'em. I know, I know, builders secret, I understand.
