curious as to how one can corulate the times we have vers the times the PDDR posts.
our track is 48ft from the start gates to the finish timers.
timers are triggered by the start gate, not by a seperate beam (plan is to add a beam in front of the start gates for a higher degree of accuracy (using magnetic switches on start gate adds to non uniforme times(not really accurate)
our times are = fastest stock car = 2.904
fastest cab scout car = 2.977
fastest adverage time over 5 heats (each car goes down track 2x) is 3.05
slowest time =3.844
start gate is 5 ft high with about a 45 degree slope to the straightaway.
seriously contemplated sending in my car (2.904) yes it is stock w/ straight wheels, 3 hitting the track. built 7 years ago, been abused and got wet last night w/ mild rain (forgot it was in back of truck oups!)
we did notice that a car can cross the finish line and another car afterward gets a better time (reasone to change the start gates and why we adverage the times over X# of heats)
