Both my nephew's race this weekend. Here are photos of their cars. The first car is Teddy's who is a bear scout and the second car is Andy's who is a tiger cub this year. He is very excited about his first Pinewood Derby Both worked really hard on these. Hopefully it will pay off. Along with Uncle Scruffy's tips which he learned from all the great builders here! Will give you the update after the races on Saturday Scruffy21 Racing...

Off to DISTRICTS!!! Both boys ran really well *** TODAY ***. Neither one lost a heat. For fun after the races were over we ran the two cars aganst each other. Ted's car won by the slimest of margins. It is amazing what the "Block" can do for alignment. Both cars ran fantastic. Not any shimmer in either one. There were other fast cars but these just pulled away from them. I know they have heard this a thousand times but I would like to thank Glenn and David for sharing their extensive knowledge along with all the other builders here on the forums. Without this information the boys could not have had the wonderful day at the races they did.

Well, we went to districts this weekend. Raced on a 35ft. BestTrack. There were 21 racers in the bear division and 17 in the tiger division. Neither Teddy or Andy lost a heat race or a race in the finals!!! Both cars went undefeated. What a fantastic weekend. I can't say enough about the "Block" and how it makes aligning the cars incredibly simple. Without it I am not sure that we would have had the success we did. I will post pictures once I get them from my sister-in-law.
