For reference I am talking about prepping a set of standard BSA axles. When canting the axles is it better to taper the axle head or not? Would either offer an advantage over the other? If so, why?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. think of the head of the nail or axle a disk brake... if you have more surface area to rub on then it will create more braking power... if the head of the nail is tapered then you have less surface area, which then you have less braking power, which in terms allows the wheel to spin freely... so on any alignment set up, taper the head of the axles...
