Does anyone know where I can get the sticky back sandpaper? David, I know I saw some at BGN you peeled off the back and stuck to a little block to sand the track joints with. Something similar to that would work great. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Something similar to that would work great. Any suggestions would be appreciated. It is called file board paper with sticky back. (2-3/4" wide) It comes in single sheets or in rolls and comes in a wide range of grits. You can get it at your local body shop supply stores. I like the Norton Brand. It's has a Rusty Red color paper. (as shown below) They also have "DA" 6" round sand papers with sticky back. you can cut the paper with scissors or razor blade to fit your blocks of wood. We used 240 grit at Blue Grass Race. I used MDF cut peices of wood to stick the sand paper to. MDF is nice and flat and you cut it to any size and shape. I used 1/2" thick and cut blocks to shape. (also a great way to make and use when building your cars so sand with) Using the sticky paper you can stick it to the wood instead of wraping sand paper around it. Wrapping sanding paper around it becomes to bulky and can not sand the joints a precise, with only one layer using the sticky paper.
