I was surprised to see it was even posted I didn't think it would last

I ask on the derby worx forum where post went about the ESS starter my post last about 4hrs. I keep playing with them they'll be kick me off the forum

Hey guys, I just logged on to buy an ESS, but I'm not sure if the remote starter (on the 50' cord) comes with it or if that is an additionally priced option. I didn't see any option for this on the store website, so am I safe to assume that comes with it?

I just got my Black replacement ESS in and it looks FANTASTIC.

I just put black tape down both lanes and the black ESS really brings it all together.

Since I have to keep my track in my unheated barn,I was a little worried about my ESS.It was 8 degrees this morning,so I went out to test it and make sure it still works.I ran a car 20 times and it ran within a couple thousanths each time and the same times as in warmer weather

;D So far it has not failed for heat,humidity or cold.Just thought inquiring minds would like to know

Does this bolt on to the track with (2) 1/4-20x1/2" bolts i.e the same bolts that come with the track---slipped through the outside channel? I'm currently assembling my track and I'm wondering if I should slide a couple extra bolts in before the start gate assembly so that they are in place when I add the ESS later.

I'm not sure if Besttrack does that....?? But anyway, if its from Jewkes you can be sure they have done all of the hard stuff for you. I believe its just one hole so it should be simple enough.

It comes with a full instruction sheet and will walk you right through it and it is easy to do...

Yes slide down 2 extra Besttrack bolts on the out side strip on the same side as the lever. One hole required to drill into the Best Track start lever to hook up the ESS linkage.

Follow instructions and you will be racing in no time.

pony: Don't over heat the axle. I did that once too and I had to resand the axle. Two seconds of the flame is all I did. I hold the axle in the drill chuck, heat it then immediately spin it against the silly putty. I then wipe the axle down by hand. Feb 23, 2018 22:02:58 GMT -7

pony: I do the same technique with the hard ski waxes which I use a lot. You can heat the axle or if you don't want to use the heat just hold the hard ski wax against the spinning axle. Use high speed. The ski wax transfers by friction and the heat of the spin. Feb 23, 2018 22:06:02 GMT -7

pony: Remember though you still need some form of silicone on the axle after the ski wax. Plastics on steel always needs silicone. I don't have the technical know how to do a video and post it. It's the same process as polishing compounds and polishing wheels. Feb 23, 2018 22:09:47 GMT -7
