hi guys i am new to this board and i have read that it is better to run with 3 wheels touching than 4 is this true ? i have a car that the one wheel is up and it goes straight when i roll it on my table. it rolls about 5 feet with an inch or so of drift , what do you guys think

Yes it's true. In laymans terms, "it's one less wheel slowing you down". You want that raised wheel at the front since the majority of weight will be towards the rear. And you want your car to rail ride so that raised wheel doesn't touch the rail or you'll lose your raised wheel advantage. So make sure the car drifts towards the side with the raised wheel.

An inch may not be enough if your front end is lite? How much does your front of your car weigh in the FDW? If it's under .5 ounces then I think you need at least 6 inches drift in 6 feet. There's simply not enough traction to turn your car if the front is very lite. I think if your front weighs around 1 oz then 1 inch might do it?
