Well the paint is dry(for the third time), this airbrush stuff is harder than I thought. Got to get it figured out. Not 100% pleased with the paint job, but it's allot better than my rattle can painted cars from the past. My stripes turned out a little fuzzy, got to come up with a better masking system, but decided after 3 paint jobs, it was going to have to be good enough. Maybe I'll start just using stain, seems that would be allot less aggravating. Anyway, this is my first attempt at a SUPER PRO MOD with bearings. Still waiting on axles to come in, once they are here, I get it wrapped up and on the track for some testing. Meet SR71: CYA Scott Beakerboys

Looks Fast

Scott for crisper tape lines I use the green 3M autobody tape. If you use a smooth stylus (I 'borrowed' the one from my son's Nintendo DS ) and firmly run it along the edge of the tape, it stops the solvent from creeping under the edge.
After the color flashes off, pull the tape back over itself at a 45 degree angle.

AWESOME JOB!!! I THINK IT LOOKS GREAT! MY DAUGHTER THE (OCD) ARTIST LOOKED AT IT AND NOTICED THE UN-SHARP LINES TOO! BUT ALL IN ALL, IT LOOKS GREAT! IF I DID NOT HAVE MY FATHER,( A PROFESSIONAL AUTO BODY SPECIALIST) TO HELP ME PAINT MY CARS, I WOULD BE SPORTING A SPRAY CAN HOPE SHE RUNS FAST FOR YOU!
