PDDR Cars at Mid US Natl/Bluegrass

The PDDR rules are very close to the PWD Racing Rules. However, they are not exactly the same. As an example, in the PDDR Modified cars are required to have four wheels while the PWD Racing Modified cars are not.

I know a lot of PDDR builders will want to race in the Bluegrass National Race and or the Mid US National Race this year. Those races fall under the PWD Rules.

What is everyone planning on doing? Will you build cars specifically for these national races or will you try and modify PDDR cars to meet the rules?

The Mid US Nationals is a PWD Racing event in Lima Ohio on March 14th, 2009. It will be run under the 2009 PWD Racing rules.

I have never been to a national event like this before (Lima Land Open, Bluegrass, Kroozinationals, Peach Tree, Etc...). I learned so much at PDDR in 2008. This event is only 2.5 hours from my house. I'm going to take a few cars down and see how I do. I'm also kind of looking at this as a tune up for Bluegrass which I hope to be able to go to this year.

After several weeks of trying to secure a date for the 2009 Bluegrass Nationals, I finally was able to get one !! Here it is...

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up on the dates. We are looking to add some changes for 2009. I will make the "official" announcement with all the important info as the race gets closer !! It would not be a bad idea to book your hotel rooms now, it's a lot easier to cancel a room if your plans change than try to get one when the race gets closer !!


Thanks again for everyones support of the 2008 BGN !! You made it a great event !! I look forward to seeing all of you again in 2009....


Jewkes Engineering took several first at BGN last year and I'm sure as the event gets closer, more will be posted about this event.

Is there a website for the Bluegrass Nationals? I live an hour from there and plan to attend this year.

The Mid US Nationals in March 2009 at Lima Ohio has been canceled. Swamp Fox did not give a reason. He is selling his track, car kits, etc. I don't think he had a lot of interest. Maybe with the travel involved the die hard racers can only support one live event a year. Most will choose the Bluegrass. Maybe it is the economic times. Whatever the reason, it's a shame. I was looking forward to my first live tournament. Plus, I would like to see this sport continue to grow. The turnout for PDDR's January race is certainly very encouraging.

The live tournament is at PDDR every month...
It is sad though swamp fox was a very nice man...
