just setting your front wheel angle at 1.5 degree's is not the only way to do it, to get the fastest speeds out of your car...
you may have to bend it 3 degree's..
I have a car that has a 4 - 5 degree front axles and that is where it runs its fastest times...
and i have a car that has no bend and it runs its fastest times as well...
so in my oppinion there is no set bend.

I have to agree with Fast on that one. My stock car De Ja Blue was at 1.5 deg and it's best time was 2.936. Just before shipping it to King of the HILL I bent it to about 3.5 deg. I figured what the heck it wasn't gonna do anything anyway, I was just trying to feed the winnings pot. That car ran the second fastest time of the day in the class at 2.930 and had a chance to win the whole thing. There is no magic answer to the question, every car will require different degrees of angle on the DFW. Hope this helps.

It was anyones race... Your car came and did better than I bet you thought it would... Nice job bones the car is very fast. you should be proud...

I too drill a 1.5 degree hole in the front and in the past I would make my mark on the axle, place it in my mini vice and take a small flathead screwdriver and hammer and give it a little tap. I never had any control over the bend it was what it was.
Now I make my mark on the axle where I want the bend, mount it in the lathe and with a little tool I got I can make my bend and then measure it with the micrometer. Now I can be dead precise on the amount of bend I put in the axle. I have just started doing this recently so I have no data yet to back up on the optimum angle. I guess that's going to change from car to car.

I'm proud of the car but I can't imagine LA scared of any of my cars, maybe next year I'll have something to keep up with him though.

Thanks Sarge, I just got lucky with it, I didn't have the test track up so after I bent the axle some more I just kinda guessed with the tow in. I might do that more often, seems to work for me.
