I was wondering if Grooved Axles are faster? I used them before, but I noticed that they arn't very stable. Are they really worth getting? I will be racing in Pure Stock next season full time, so I want to do my best

I like grooves. They take more time and weaken the shaft BUT they remove some chance for imperfections and dispense graphite as the car shakes it out. For some, a straight axle can do as well because there is no advantage in reducing friction but the other advantages have made believers of most who race these little wonders.
As far as stability - take an old wheel and cut it in half and use the half to look at where you are placing your grooves. If your wheel falls into the groove or binds you need to change your groove location.

I'm with A-Line, I tend to lean toward the grooved axle myself.
I like a larger single width groove on axles that are to be used with oil and multiple grooves when using graphite. I also like a groove at the axle heads also.
I have however had very good success with axles with no grooves. It all comes down to preference and what works for you and what you are comfortable with.

I was wondering if Grooved Axles are faster? I used them before, but I noticed that they arn't very stable. Are they really worth getting? I will be racing in Pure Stock next season full time, so I want to do my best THE AXLES ON THE WEB SITE ARE THE AXLES THAT WE USED AT BLUE GRASS... BUT THE AXLES THAT I USED HAVE A SPECIAL GROVE THAT WE TRIED OUT... I HAVE FOUND OUT IF YOU ARE CANTING THE AXLES YOU NEED A DIFFERENT GROOVE... SO THERE WILL SOON TO BE A CHOOSE OF AXLES THAT WE HAVE FOUND TO WORK WITH DIFFERENT SET UP'S, HOLD ON THEY ARE COMING... I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE'S SUPPORT... WHAT WE WANT TO DO IS HELP OUT THE FATHER AND SON'S RACING TEAMS AND THE BUILDER HERE AT PDDR TO ACHIEVE THE FASTEST CARS POSSIBLE.. SO IF WE FIND SOMETHING THAT WORKS FOR US YOU WILL HAVE IT IN YOUR HANDS TO USE AS WELL... THERE WILL BE NEW WHEELS COMING, AXLES, PRE DRILLED BLOCK'S, PAINT STENCILS WILL BE BACK, FOR YOU TO BUILD THE FASTEST CARS AROUND... THANK YOU GLENN / 2FAST4U
