Fellas My million dollar question. I just completed my stock car with extended wheel base this was my first shot using the block (VERY NICE TOOL) the car looks great cool design used all the tips I could from you guys. When I was trying to get the steering correct I noticed its sitting a little low hence my question how low is to low. When I measured it I have the 3/8 plus just about another extra 1/16 clearance. The race is an AWANA race on a decent wood track. How high is the lane guides 1/4 or 3/8 tall? Am i ok to run this car? Thanks KB

These are the dimensions we use here at PDDR...
Most other tracks have a 1/4" center guide height also.
There are tracks that have no center guide and use lane rails so that you car rolls down the whole lane those kind of tracks you wouldn't have to worry about how low the car was only if your rules required and specific height.
Car Dimensions (Stock Class)
Wheel Base : .........Any wheel base is allowed as long as it meets the dimensions and race requirements. Height : ................Not to exceed 2-3/4" inches ( 7cm ) Length : ...............Not to exceed 7" inches ( 17.8 cm ) Weight : ................Not to exceed 5" ounces ( 142 grams ) Width : ..................Not to exceed 2-3/4" inches ( 7 cm ) Center Rail Height : ....1/4" inch ( 7mm ) * Center Rail Width : .....1- 5/8" inches (4.2 cm) *
* Center Rail height and width are the actual measurements of the track, so you must build the car to clear these dimensions for the wheels to ride on the track, outside of the rails not on the inside.

All is Well Thanks to this Board and a huge THANK YOU to John at MB4hire!!! We orederd the block and some other parts from John he supplied quick and excellent service and was an extremley helpful guy to talk to. Because of his help my Son took first place in our Awana race and my Daughter took first place in her division. Their cars never lost a race and there were at least 50 some cars in all. I can't thank you enough! tx KB
