Any of you dudes up for a little friendly competition? I'm currently working on a new car based on the Revell/Monogram kit 852342, a 1968 Firebird 400 2 'n 1. Gonna go with the chrome blower option, of course Anybody up for building a car based on the same / similar kit, with a face-off for speed / looks in November? I originally started building it to square off with FBR's '79 Z28 "Buttercup", but the thought entered my mind that it might be interesting for us to all start with the same kit and see what we could come up with... Any takers (esp. you, Outlaw ). Pic of kit: Bubba p.s. I did a few quick searches and you can find several on eBay, various on-line hobby stores, amazon, etc. etc.

can i run my 69 camaro... Well... Do you think you can retrofit it with a nice chrome blower? Kinda the look I'm going for... If you want we could push the race back a month or two to give you and Carolina a little more time to build a new one (and hopefully enroll a couple more builders - including you know who ). Let me know your thoughts on the retrofit / new build. The more, the merrier Bubba p.s. I realize I'm kinda new here still, has A-Line ever done a plastic job? That I'd like to see, all due respect intended.

Is the blower going to be required? Just want to know before I get started on this thing. I like the more stock look myself but it really doesn't matter. I got the same kit as you Bubba, as soon as it comes in I'll jump right on it. ;D I need something to do anyways, everything else is completed. Now when I go out to the workshop, I'm forced to actually clean and straighten things up. I kind of like my mess scattered around.

To be included in the "official" face-off, I think it should be required. That way we aren't all tempted to leave them off just for the little bit of aerodynamic improvement. I'd like to see what looks like a real drag race with "big chrome" and all. I may just attach mine to the bottom of the hood from underneath rather than include the whole engine and have a hood that lifts up, but I think it would be cool for us all to keep the blowers intact.
