I received "The Block" from LA the other day as I am going to try drilling my own blocks. I have some wood blocks with the standard grooves already cut in them that I got from Maximum Velocity. Anyway, I went to slide these wood blocks in "The Block" and it is a very tight fit. So much so that it is shaving wood off the side of the wood block. I tried more than one to see if it was just that one block but it was not. Has anyone else using "The Block" run into a similar situation? Where do most of the builders get their wood blocks from?
I checked the video that LA made available and the block he used in the video seemed to slide right in with no issues.
Any help would be appreciated.

I've ran into that also, but I just run them through a jointer to get an exact fit.

Scruffy21 Racing... the block is 1 3/4 wide if the block of wood is a little tight this is OK just sand one side a little until it fits... or just push it in, until it is in all the way... or clamp the wood block on the other slide of the block and you be fine... i hope this helps you will love the block.. the top builders in stock class this last month used the block... if it isn't an exact just trim off what you need to and it should slide right in.
