Hey Bubba, I gotta problem. I am just finishing my new slammer and I go and look at the show vote only to realize I had just built the same car as you already have. It's a Ferrari 612, I even painted it just like the box... RED. I must apologize for my error. I did not recognize it as your car when I bought it. If you like I won't send it in. I just got back from the hobby shop with a different kit but I doubt I will have time to complete it by the next race. I really am sorry. Bones

If I understand the options, you could either a) field a Slammr' for September(that happens to look like my Frankenslammr from July that I wasn't real happy with anyway) or b) not field a Slammr' for SeptemberHmmm... I'm gonna have to go with a) field a Slammr' for September I appreciate you asking, esp. since you'll hopefully turn in a little better times with yours than I did with the Frankenslammr. But between you, me, and the wall, I'm not expecting to run the 612 in September. Even if I were, it might be fun to watch 'em square off. I'm working on a new build that I hope will outrun the 612 (mine, anyway). No Ferrari's in the mix this month for me, I went a little more domestic this time around. I do have a 599 GTB kit and a couple others waiting in the wings, though. ;D Bubba p.s. just curious... what's the new kit you picked up?

Bubba, you are a gentleman and a scholar! The car I picked up ( I just opened the box after my last post ) Is a Nissan R390 GT1. It's a little wide 3 1/4" hmm, hmm BTW can I get a ruling on this Jewkes Bros, and is a real complicated car. I still have to figure how to attach it to a chassis but we'll see.

Found a kit from Tamiya on-line ( www.diecastx.com/store/product1672.html ) Is this the one you picked up? Very nice lookin' car. Are you gonna keep the wing in the back? We're gettin' quite the variety in the Slammr' field these days ;D Makes pickin' a favorite for the Show vote even tougher when you got a mix of Detroit lead sleds, formula racing cars, Italian sports jobs, pickups, etc. Bubba p.s. if you are having trouble figuring out the chassis mount, send me a pic of the underside and I'll send you pics of anything I've done that's close...

That's the car. I am gonna keep the wing but I'll probably paint it one color, I'm no Paint Ninja. I thought about blue and black with a PDDR logo on the front but I don't think I have that kind of skill.
