we have a wood track. And the curve is gradual. But on aluminum track I think the curve is a little more severe.I'd like to put fenders on a car, How muck would I need to round over the bottom rear to clear track

Look at the Door Slammr' cars and see how the bodys fit in relationship to the rear wheels. You might be able to see how much fender you can make. All the Door Slammr' cars that have raced here, I haven't seen a problem with the fenders rubbing the track. The track center rail is 1/4" tall and a width of 1-5/8". I will try and get some side view pictures of the tracks curve section with some of the Door Slammr's on it so you can see them on the curve... I think this might help everyone to see how close you can make them fit. I will try and post them this week.

You could take 4' of string and a piece of chalk in your driveway to make an arc. then set you car (or template on its side over it (wheels touching the line). That should give you an idea if you're even close to bottoming out. We use a CAD program to virtually build all over our designs so it's a little easier to lay the 4' arc in underneath the model of the car and check for clearance.
